Decorating advice: mixing black & dark brown in olive green room? - bamboo dining table

My living room / dining room walls are olive green, brown couch (with pillows, bamboo blinds brown and two black pillows, I), recently added, discreetly, hardwood oak. My big console TV / shelf is brown espresso (dark brown), are two wooden chairs, black leather seats, espresso coffee and end tables are black metal and dark brown wood. It is the occurrence of the disease is very low in comparison (tables, vases, jewelry, etc. are sitting). All this is very earthy look and I like it.
I want my old coffee table, painted buffet table, but do not know if I should paint it black or espresso brown. Paint Express buffets and Brown seemed "safer" would be considered black. Am I a sissy for black? Suggestions?
